Where are you going?

A standard fee is a starting point. Whether you need that visa depends on your passport and travel purpose.

STARTING GOVERNMENT FEES

What a standard application can cost

These are different application types, each with its own conditions. Select your destination to see its available options.

Schengen short-stay visa · standard adult fee

Published starting charge90 EUR

Standard short-stay application tariff. Age reductions, nationality agreements and fee waivers can change it. A visa is only required for some travelers.

Application-centre charges may be additional. This is the government application fee, not an all-in total.

Standard Visitor visa · up to 6 months

Published starting charge135 GBP

One standard visitor application, including applications for children. Eligibility depends on nationality and the purpose of the visit.

Longer-validity visas and any application-centre or optional services have separate charges.

Visitor visa · individual application

Published starting charge100 CAD

Individual visitor visa processing fee. The type of permission needed depends on the traveler.

Biometrics can add CAD 85 per individual when required. Family fee caps and biometrics exemptions have their own conditions.

B-1/B-2 visitor visa · application processing

Published starting charge185 USD

Non-petition-based visitor visa application processing fee. It does not establish eligibility or guarantee issuance.

Issuance, reciprocity and other applicable charges are separate. This figure is the processing fee only; check the official application process for the full payable amount.

READ THE PRICE IN CONTEXT

The application fee is one part of the trip.

01

Choose the right permission

A visitor visa and an electronic travel authorization serve different eligible travelers. A lower fee does not make an option available to everyone.

02

Allow for extra charges

Biometrics, visa-centre charges and optional services may add to the government application fee. Read the notes beside each tariff.

03

Use the official source

Every numeric price below has a source and a verification date. Missing or expired information stays unpriced.

Questions

Understanding your visa costs

Is the starting price what everyone pays?
No. Each amount is a named standard application charge. Nationality, age, exemptions and application location may change the final payment. Check entry requirements separately before choosing an application.
Does the fee include application-centre charges?
The displayed starting amount is the government charge described beside it. Biometrics, centre charges and optional services are included only when explicitly stated. It is not an all-in quote.
Why show several prices for one country?
A visitor visa, a longer-validity visa and an electronic travel authorization are different products. The cheaper option may not be available to your passport or travel purpose.
What does “Fee not verified” mean?
We do not have a current, sourced standard price for that destination and application type. It does not mean that entry is visa-free or that the application costs zero.
Can I check whether I need the visa?
Open Check entry requirements beside the fees. The Visa Checker lets you confirm or change your passport country; a location or language suggestion is not proof of citizenship.
How current are these prices?
Each amount displays its verification date and official source. Records older than 90 days are flagged for review; after 180 days they are withheld. Confirm the final charge with the official application service before paying.
