TWO COUNTRIES. ONE BIG DECISION.

Which Country Has More People?

A bigger country doesn’t always mean more people. Which one would you choose?

194 countries · No timer pressure · Every answer teaches you something

A LITTLE KNOW-HOW

Every round is a small discovery.

Pick one of the two countries. Reveal the real numbers and a proportional comparison, then move on when you are ready. Quick games have ten rounds. Endless keeps going; Survival gives you three lives.

Where do the numbers come from?

We use World Bank population estimates for 2025. They are dated estimates, not live counters. The same source and year are used for both countries. Exact values are revealed so close comparisons remain clear. World Bank · CC BY 4.0.

How does difficulty work?

Easy pairs differ by more than 60% of the larger value. Medium: 30–60%. Hard: 10–30%. Expert: up to 10%. Equal values are excluded. Outlines are fitted independently before your answer, so they do not reveal the actual size.

How is the score calculated?

Correct answers earn 100 points. Answer in under two seconds for 50 bonus points, or under four for 25. Streaks of 3, 5 and 10 add 25, 50 and 100 points. There is no time limit. Survival moves up a difficulty every five rounds.

Which countries can appear?

194 countries currently have eligible data. Normal play uses UN member and observer states with available observations; dependent territories are excluded. A small regional pool may need a different difficulty.

Why can maps be misleading?

Flat maps stretch some parts of the world. Mercator maps especially exaggerate areas near the poles. Our comparison bars use the actual values on a linear scale.
