Cookies used by MyTripTools
A cookie is a small value a website stores in your browser and receives with later requests. MyTripTools uses first-party cookies for security, account sessions and features you request. The current site does not load advertising or third-party analytics trackers.
Not every cookie is set on every visit. The cookies present depend on the features you use. Private administration areas may use additional access-control cookies.
Storage for your travel tools
Browser storage is separate from cookies. It can hold more information and usually stays on your device until the feature or your browser removes it.
- Tools such as the Random Holiday Generator, Visited Map, games and airport search can remember preferences, selections, scores or recent activity to support repeat use.
- The Travel Planner and supported calculators can keep drafts or saved inputs. Account save and import features may also send supported data to your MyTripTools account.
- Some temporary tool state, such as an assistant conversation or recovery draft, uses session storage that normally clears when its browser tab is closed.
- The newsletter invitation stores whether you subscribed or dismissed it. A dismissal is remembered for 30 days so the invitation does not repeatedly interrupt your visit.
- When you request an offline planner copy, the site stores the files and trip information needed to reopen it without a connection. Remove offline copies using the planner controls or your browser's site-data settings.
Local storage may remain until you clear it; it does not always have a fixed expiry. Avoid saving private travel details on a shared device. Clearing site data can remove unsynced drafts and your ability to reopen browser-owned plans.
Maps and external services
Some tools load maps, images or data from external providers. A direct browser request may reveal your IP address and the query or location needed for that feature. The source or provider is identified within the relevant tool where available.
Following an external link takes you to a service with its own cookie and privacy practices. The MyTripTools notice does not control cookies on another website.
Your controls
The cookie notice explains the current use of cookies and storage. “Got it” only dismisses that information; it is not consent to advertising or unrelated uses of your data.
If JavaScript is unavailable, the same information appears in an expandable section below the footer. Opening or closing it keeps you on the current page.
Use a tool's reset, remove, save or offline controls where provided. Your browser also lets you inspect, block and delete cookies and site storage. Blocking security or session cookies can prevent login, forms or saved-plan features from working.
If optional tracking is introduced, this policy and the relevant choices will need to reflect it before that tracking is enabled.
